What actually is boudoir?  

Boudoir photography is a photography style that sometimes shows intimate, senual and romantic images of someone. They are usually done in lingerie or glamorous clothing. 

Boudoir isn't for one type of woman, it's for every type of woman. It's about celebrating yourself–and when you see the photos, they should make you feel beautiful in every way. They are designed to allow you to look back at a particular time in your life where you were truly able to embrace EVERY inch of yourself.

Is there a minimum or maximum age for a boudoir shoot? 
You must be over the age of 18 due to the nature of the sessions. However there is absolutely no maximum age for the sessions! Every woman should feel incredible regardless of their age.
 

 

Who will my photographer be? 
Hi, my name is Sam and I will be your photographer on the day. You can read more about me and the rest of the team on our about us page.
 

 

What should I bring to my shoot? 

This is a very common question. I do have lingerie and outfits in the beautifully me wardrobe however I recommend bringing with you 1 or 2 outfits that you feel amazing in. You are more than welcome to browse the wardbrobe when you arrive. 
You will also need to bring with any accessories you may wish to use in your session. I will guide you through some suggestions before your shoot. 

 

You may also want to bring with you a dressing gown for moving throughout the studio from set to set. 
 

 

Do I have to get naked? 

Absolutely not. We can do more "nude" images if you like however there is absolutely no need if this is not something you would like to do. You can keep your fluffy dressing gown on if you really want! ;-)
 

 

Will my photos be publicly available on the internet? 

 

No. Your images remain as confidential as you want them to. The images you see in galleries on my website and social media are of clients who have chosen to sign up to my ambassador programme and have consented to the images to be in public domain. This is a programme available to all of my clients and as a thank you they receive a 10% discount. For more information see our Investment Page.

I have acne/ stretch marks can you get rid of that ? 

I am a big advocate for loving our bodies and the story they tell. However I do appreciate we may all have that one scar or body hang up we do not love. I will (upon request) remove small marks should they be required however I do NOT photoshop to the point that you no longer look like yourself. I do not remove scars/moles acne etc without being asked. 
 

 

I am bigger than many of the girls on your website can I still do a shoot? 

Yes! Yes! Yes! Curves create shape! We love shape. Boudoir sessions are designed for EVERYONE! Please do not be put off due to your size, love who you are and love the body that holds your spirit.

Do I have to have professional hair and make up done? 

Let me be honest with you. Unless you are a professional hair and make up artist yourself the answer will always be YES!

However in a nutshell, hiring a professional makeup artist is an investment that you need for your boudoir session.  There is a quality and technique that professional hair and makeup artist have that most people don’t.  The most important reason you need to hire a professional hair and makeup artist is that it leaves you stress free and gives you time to relax and enjoy the session.

 

I don’t know how to pose will you help? 

100%. This is my job. I will guide you every step of the way. I will break the poses down step by step to ensure we get the best out of your session. 

 

Do you offer payment plans ? 

Yes I do offer payment plans. Final balance is due 2 weeks prior to the session. Please speak to me about the payment plans if this is something you would like to consider. 
 

 

The girls on your website look amazing. Are they models ? 

All of the women featured on my website have their own stories and information in the Client Galleries page. 

They come from all walks of life and the majority are not professional models. Please take some time to read their stories. 
 

 

I’ve seen cheaper boudoir photographers advertised online why should I choose
Beautifully me?

You will have likely seen cheaper photographers on other sites and if you feel that's more suited for you then please do investigate further with them. However I pride myself in being upfront with all expected costs and high standard of service. The studio is clean, modern and safe as well giving my clients a private dressing room.

I have spent time and money on training to ensure I am giving my clients the best possible images for their investment. As with all photography sessions there is always an opportunity to purchase more at the end of the shoot however with all of my packages you walk away with at least 2 prints from the session.
